GRANDMASTER PAUL MORMANDO
Founder, Cha Ki Do Martial Arts System

Grandmaster Paul "Mr. Karate USA" Mormando, as he is known to many martial artists around the world, is not your average martial arts instructor. He began his training at a very young age and at 19 became the world's youngest recognized Grandmaster in all of martial arts history, a 10th degree black belt and founder of the Cha Ki Do Martial Arts System.

As documented by Black Belt Magazine, this martial arts prodigy went on to garner an extremely impressive resume. Mormando has trained many other martial artists who became world champions in kickboxing and karate.

He is a world champion in forms and fighting, has broken world records in board-breaking, and has been trainer to celebrities such as Madonna, Run DMC, and Julio Inglesias

In 2003 Mormando was inducted into the World Professional Martial Arts Organization & Ring 8's Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden alongside such luminaries as Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris and Joe Lewis.

After having appeared in action films and television shows, Grandmaster Mormando now concentrates on his growing school and his local community. He has spoken at many New York City public schools with the message that kids who study self-defense gain discipline and self-confidence while learning that they don't have to resort to violence to settle disputes. He trained New York City police officers in techniques of self-defense at the 61st precinct in Brooklyn.
